Timbuk2

Inspired by the legendary African city, Timbuktu, and a popular indie band, Timbuk3, Timbuk2® got its start in 1989 when a San Francisco bicycle messenger, a used Singer® sewing machine, and an idea came together in perfect harmony.

By 1996, the company had moved out of its founder's basement, had hired full-time sewers, and had incorporated a popular "build your own bag" concept. Using both ballistic and Cordura® fabrics, a three-panel design, and popular colors, Timbuk2 has steadily built a business based on quality and dependability. Along the way, it has gained a solid reputation and a loyal following among real-life, hard-working bicycle messengers and cycling enthusiasts.
