Stoney-Wolf Productions

Stoney-Wolf® Productions was founded in 1984 by Stoney Burke and Ed Wolf. They created "Elk Hunting in the Rocky Mountain West," the first commercially produced elk hunting video. Since then the company has produced over 125 hunting, fishing and nature videos. Most of these have featured well known outdoor personalities such as Jim Zumbo, Mike Lapinski and Wayne Carlton, to name a few.

In 1988 the company received permission from the U.S. Forest Service to videotape and produce a documentary on the great Yellowstone fire. The resulting program was very successful, selling over 200,000 copies. This led Stoney-Wolf into a series of videos teaching adults and children about nature, wildlife and the environment in general. In April 1997, the company was sold to David Franey and Tony and Patrick Kirsch. Stoney-Wolf then expanded its product line to include books and outdoor CD-ROM. The company soon had the largest selection of hunting and fishing programs in the industry. In the fall of 2006 Stoney-Wolf teamed up with award winning chef John Schumacher. Together they created an exciting new product line called Game Gourmet: a bake in a bag concept, with over 20 spices in each bag. Game Gourmet was designed to cook wild game for the perfect meal every time.

Today Stoney-Wolf Productions manages the outdoor media departments for many outdoor retailers. They distribute well over 400 products including hunting and fishing DVD's, Wii and other video games, and Game Gourmet. They license and publish over 150 DVD programs; including productions from Tom Miranda, Ted Nugent, Roger Raglin, Jim Shockey and many more.
