Minnetonka Moccasins

This three-generation family operation got its start in the 1940s with its original moccasin inspired by Native American Indians. After WWII, America seemed driven to enjoy its leisure time and moccasins gained quick popularity for traveling Americans. From there, over the years, Minnetonka® seems to have experienced three distinct growth phases.

The 1960s brought the hippie movement and with it, a desire for the ankle-high fringed moccasin that became a national fad. The 70s birthed the Urban Cowboy craze and the Minnetonka Thunderbird beaded moccasin rose to the occasion. In the 80s the Driving Moc, originally created in Europe as a high-performance driving shoe, became a popular item and is still a best-seller all these years later.

If your feet are longing for comfort, hoping for durability, and craving a unique style, Minnetonka is for you!
