Haggar

J.M. Haggar Sr., a Lebanese immigrant, came to the USA with a "make it happen" spirit and wasn't one to rely on just plain old luck. So no one was surprised when, in 1926, he founded Haggar Clothing Co.® in Dallas, Texas.

Founding a company with the goal of supplying the working man with quality apparel seemed like something he was destined to do. And today, more than 80 years later, the Haggar Clothing Co. is still upholding that very same goal. With lots of elbow grease and good old fashioned know-how.

And talk about innovation! Haggar coined the term "slacks" in the 1940's; was the first to advertise slacks on television; was the first apparel company to ticket merchandise with UPC bar codes and has led the way with innovations such as the hidden expandable waistband, Haggar Wrinkle-Free Cotton® Khakis, and the Freedom Khaki® pant and Freedom Shirt® line of clothing, featuring stain-resistant and liquid-repellent fabrics.
