Downeast Bicycle Specialists
Downeast Bicycle Specialists was started in 1982 by Dave Kinsman and Steve Pucci as a part time business. Beginning with a few boxes of bike parts in a chicken coop heated by a wood stove, a one page price sheet, and inventory kept in a notebook.
In 2018, Downeast undertook a huge adventure and moved across the state line from their 25+ year hold in Maine to Conway, NH. Downeast Bicycle Specialists is a full service bicycle parts and accessories distributor servicing independent bicycle dealers throughout the United States, in addition to supporting the bicycle industry and the sport they love through national and local advocacy groups.
