In 2010, Briko® celebrated its 25th year! At this same time came a new owner and a renewed passion for what has been the backbone of Briko throughout its' years - ski racing.
Passion for ski racing and technical products characterized Briko's past. When the company began in 1985, it produced ski wax for the Italian Ski Team. In the wake of its athletes' success, Briko soon decided to extend its product range to include sunglasses, helmets and technical apparel, all designed in cooperation with its' top level athletes. Brikos Alpine Scuderia (or Team) has been comprised of some of the most prestigious athletes on the World Cup circuit - Alberto Tomba, Deborah Compagnoni, Lasse Kjus, Benni Raich, Marc Girardelli, Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn.
Recently, Briko USA announced the signing of many top American athletes to the Briko Team for ski helmets and goggles, while returning athletes include the U.S. Ski Teams Tommy Biesemeyer, as well as 4-time overall World Cup champion Lindsey Vonn who will continue to use her Briko Red Bull designed Vulcano FIS helmet.
