40-Up® Tackle traces it's origins back to the 1970s when Bill Hubbard, a respected Maine guide, started making an ice-fishing tip-up, that when tripped, had the flag waving 40" above the ice.
The current ownership bought Bill's operation many years ago and is now a major U.S. manufacturer of wood tip-ups. 40-Up's Spring / Summer program was started a few years ago as seasonal offset with terminal tackle and tackle accessories geared to the Northeast.
