Gun safes come in various types to cater to different needs and preferences. One common type is the traditional floor or freestanding safe, which provides ample storage space and can accommodate multiple firearms. For those seeking portability, there are portable or travel safes that are lightweight and compact, allowing secure transportation of firearms. Additionally, there are quick-access safes, often equipped with biometric or keypad locks, intended for rapid and convenient retrieval of a firearm in emergency situations. Some gun safes are designed specifically for specific types of firearms, such as handgun safes or long gun safes. Kittery Trading Post carries safes from Sports Afield, American Furniture, Bulldog Cases & Vaults, and more. Gun holsters are available in various types to accommodate different carry styles and firearm types. One popular type is the inside-the-waistband (IWB) holster, which is worn inside the waistband for concealed carry. Outside-the-waistband (OWB) holsters, on the other hand, are worn on the outside of the waistband, typically offering a more comfortable and accessible option for open carry. Ankle holsters are compact holsters worn around the ankle for discreet carry. Additionally, there are pocket holsters, appendix holsters, and thigh holsters, each designed for specific carry preferences and firearm sizes.
