Daddy Mac Lures

Daddy Mac Lures
With a combined 75+ years of commercial and recreational fishing experience, the son-in-law / father-in-law team of Jack Houghton and Dennis MacDonald (Daddy Mac) were determined to use their experience and knowledge to create and customize lures that had the design and features they knew would increase their hook-up rate, meet their needs and prove successful. With careful thought to quality, color, design, and an awareness of migration trends, they first created their own Herring, Squid, and Sand Eel lures. They knew that's what bass were chasing.

Daddy Mac Lures® is evolving. They've recently re-branded and expanded the product line based on their most successful lures and valued customer feedback. What began as a personal endeavor to meet their own fishing needs has turned into a great opportunity to meet the needs of fellow fishermen - all the while doing something they're passionate about.

Freshwater fishing baits have revolutionized the angling experience, offering anglers a wide range of options for enticing fish. Soft plastic baits, such as worms, creature baits, and swimbaits, are versatile and can be rigged in various ways to mimic natural prey. They come in an assortment of colors, sizes, and designs to imitate different types of forage. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits are hard-bodied lures that create vibrations and flash, attracting predatory fish. Topwater lures, like poppers and frogs, elicit explosive strikes as they mimic injured prey on the water's surface. Artificial baits provide anglers with the flexibility to experiment with different presentations and techniques, increasing their chances of landing that prized freshwater catch.
