HOUSEKEEPING/FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
Full-Time (Year-round)
On a daily basis the Housekeeping/Facilities Maintenance team ensures that the assigned buildings and surrounding areas provide comfort and safety through effective cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance procedures. This individual as a part of our Housekeeping/Facilities Maintenance team will perform general cleaning duties which include sweeping, dusting, washing windows, washing floors, carpet maintenance, vacuuming, lavatory cleaning, snow removal and other related duties. Housekeeping/Facilities Maintenance candidates must have an unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays 7am-3:30pm with one shift being 10:30am-7pm TBD.

EVENTS COORDINATOR

The Events Planner owns the creative vision, logistics, and on site execution of the store’s major events. This role requires exceptional planning and coordination skills, a deep understanding of the outdoor retail customer experience, strong leadership, and the ability to translate big picture ideas into flawless, highly attended events that reflect KTP’s brand and community values. 3+ years of event planning or coordination experience (retail, outdoor, or community events preferred).
Qualified candidates must be available to work weekends and evenings during our events.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE

On a daily basis works with the other Accounts Payable associates, buyers and warehouse personnel to ensure accurate processing and payment of invoices. An employee within this position must have strong calculator and mathematical skills. Previous experience with Windows based applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, is helpful. A background in accounting is also helpful but not required. Neat handwriting and attention to detail are a necessity in this position.

The Fudge Counter Associate plays an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable customer experience at Kittery Trading Post. NICS Clerks are responsible for and assisting in the process of submitting NICS checks through regulated channels. You will work closely with the customers, firearms sales associates, departmental managers, and training coordinator to ensure accuracy in all stored files as a NICS Clerk. Data entry skills and confidentiality are a must. This position, NICS Clerk, is a customer facing position.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9:30am-5:30pm, and Sundays 9am-5pm.

DISTRIBUTION FACILITY ASSOCIATE - Vendor/Defective Returns

Responsible for evaluation and processing merchandise to be returned to the manufacturer due to defective quality, recall, over shipment of product, substituted or incorrect merchandise and product damaged in shipment. This position requires long periods of standing as well as movement throughout the facility. Physically working with merchandise requires lifting, climbing ladders and pushing/ pulling rolling buckets, tubs and oak carts.

Door Greeters are responsible for welcoming customers in an upbeat and energetic manner, demonstrating a familiarity with the Kittery Trading Post history and products we sell. Greeters will provide quality service to our customers, good communication skills, direct customers to departments within the store and be able to answer questions comfortably. Attention to detail is critical with a strong ability to muti-task. Must be able to demonstrate an awareness of basic Loss prevention functions, and complete paperwork associated with the position.

Firearm Records Clerk are responsible for assisting in the process of submitting NICS checks through regulated channels, contacting vendors for shipping and repair related matters, and maintaining daily paperwork for the department. You will work closely with the firearms sales associates, departmental managers, shipping entities, and training coordinator to ensure accuracy in all stored files as a Firearm Records Clerk. This position requires strong computer skills; including a working knowledge of Microsoft programs, must be able to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers and other business contacts, attention to detail is critical with a strong ability to multi-task. Qualified candidate for this role must be twenty-one years of age or older and be able to pass a standard background check. This position starts as a seasonal position but does have the potential to turn into a year-round employment.

The Loss Prevention (LP) Associate protects company assets, prevents theft and fraud, and supports a safe shopping and working environment across the store. This role balances retail floor coverage with managing the Employee Loss Prevention Desk, including employee check-in/out, internal supply control, security system monitoring and troubleshooting, and safety inspections.

Facilities Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to supervising a team of 6-10 employees. The Facilities Supervisor supports management in leading the facilities team, including scheduling, training, and directing work and performance management. You will be responsible for, with the support of management, maintaining buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. It plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and brand integrity of all store and corporate facilities. This position requires 3-5+ years of experience in facilities, preferably in a retail, commercial, or distribution environment. Ability to communicate with vendors effectively for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and life safety systems.
Qualified candidates must have an unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs, availability to respond to 24/7 on-call responsibilities for building emergencies and alarm response.
