FISHING/ARCHERY BUYER
Salary
Fishing/Archery Buyer candidates should have knowledge and experience of the Fishing and Archery industry as well as retail business practices. Responsible for the negotiation of pricing, selecting appropriate mix, controlling of open to buy, sell through, inventory levels, gross profit and markdowns. The Fishing/Archery Buyer will work with store management to merchandise sales floor in order to increase sales and keep the floor fresh and up to date. Frequent contact with retail and warehouse management as well as our outside vendors/sales representatives. Works under the general direction of the Vice President. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including skills in operating MS office suite and various software packages. Ability to prioritize multiple projects while managing and evaluating product flow. Trade show travel required. Must be able to work at our Kittery, ME location.


SHOOTING SPORTS BUYER
Salary
Shooting Sports Buyer candidates should have knowledge and experience in the Shooting Sports industry as well as retail business practices. The Buyer will work with store management to merchandise sales floor in order to increase sales and keep the floor fresh and up to date. This position, Shooting Sports Buyer, will be purchasing the following categories: Firearms, Optics, Ammunition, Firearms Accessories and others as assigned by management. Knowledge of these products and strong purchasing principles a must. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including skills in operating MS office suite and various software packages. Ability to prioritize multiple projects while managing and evaluating product flow. Trade show travel required. Must be able to work at our Kittery, ME location.


LOSS PREVENTION/ASSET PROTECTION ASSOCIATE
Full-time
Loss Prevention/Asset Protection Associates are employed by the company to limit losses from theft by discouraging criminal behavior and apprehending anyone attempting to steal products. Their role is to hold people accountable for the damage they cause to the company through stolen products. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Tuesdays-Saturdays 11am-7pm.


FISHING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Seasonal
As a Fishing Support Specialist, you will be expected to assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions. Your training will allow you to help select, size, and outfit customers to an array of specialized equipment for their outdoor adventure needs. You’ll restock merchandise to ensure the department is organized, shoppable, and full. You will also perform other duties as the Fishing Support Specialist assigned by management. You, a Fishing Support Specialist, reports directly to the department’s management team and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Saturdays 11am-7pm and either Tuesdays or Thursdays 9am-5pm (additional shifts are available).


FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
Full-time
On a daily basis the Facilities Maintenance team ensures that the assigned buildings and surrounding areas provide comfort and safety through effective cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance procedures. This individual as a part of our Facilities Maintenance team will perform general cleaning duties which include sweeping, dusting, washing windows, washing floors, carpet maintenance, vacuuming, lavatory cleaning, snow removal and other related duties. Facilities Maintenance candidates must have an unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Tuesdays 7am-3:30pm, Wednesdays 10:30am-7pm, Thursdays 7am-3:30pm, Fridays 7am-3:30pm, and Saturdays 7am-3:30pm OR Mondays 7am-3:30pm, Thursdays 7am-3:30pm, Fridays 7am-3:30pm, Saturdays 7am-3:30pm, and Sundays 10:30am-7pm.


CASHIER ASSISTANT MANAGER
Full-time
As a member of the cashier management team, you will be responsible for daily supervision and motivation of the cashiering and customer service staff. You, a Cashier Assistant Manager, will demonstrate and enforce the policies, procedures and philosophies of Kittery Trading Post. Cashier Assistant Managers directly report to the Divisional Managers of Retail. Requires regular exercise of independent judgment. Supervises and trains employees, assists other managers and supervisors in fulfilling the objectives of the Cashier Department and the Company. This role has direct supervision over the Cashiers, Customer Service and Senior Cashiers.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday 11am-7pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 11am-7pm, and Sunday 11am-7pm or Friday-Monday 9am-7pm if a four-day work week is desired.


ARCHERY & HUNTING SPECIALIST
Part Time
As an Archery & Hunting Specialist you will be expected to assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions. Your training will allow you to help select, size, and outfit customers to an array of specialized equipment for their outdoor adventure needs. You’ll restock merchandise to ensure the department is organized, shoppable, and full. You will also perform other duties as the Archery & Hunting Specialist assigned by management. You, a Archery & Hunting Specialist, report directly to the department’s management team and do not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualified candidates must be available to work a combination of 9am-5pm and 11am-7pm shifts Fridays and Saturdays at minimum..


FIREARMS SALES SPECIALIST
Part-time
As a Firearm Sales Specialist you’ll be expected to assist customers with all aspects of their buying decisions. Your training will allow you to help select, size, and outfit customers to an array of specialized equipment for their outdoor needs. You’ll restock merchandise to ensure the department and retail displays are organized, shoppable, and full. You will also perform other duties as a Firearm Sales Specialist assigned by management. Specialists report directly to the department’s management team and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Data entry skills and confidentiality are a must.
This is a part-time year-round position requiring a schedule with a combination of 9am-5pm and 11am-7pm shifts Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.


BACKGROUND CHECK SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Full-time
Background Check Support Specialists are responsible for assisting customers throughout the process of submitting background checks via the Federal NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) regulated channels. You’ll work closely with the customers, firearms associates, departmental managers, and training coordinator to ensure accuracy in all stored files as a Background Check Support Specialist. Your training will give you access to Federal government programs and other specialized tools to be successful in the role. You will also perform other duties as a Background Check Support Specialist assigned by management. Specialists report directly to the department’s management team and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Data entry skills and confidentiality are a must.
This position, Background Check Support Specialist, is a full-time year-round role requiring a schedule of Tuesdays 11am-7pm, Wednesdays 9am-5pm, Thursdays 11am-7pm, Fridays 10am-6pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm.


FIREARM SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Behind-the-scenes
Part-time
You’ll be a member of a specialized warehouse team focused on the handling of firearms from the point of acquisition to the disposition and all aspects in between with tasks related to receiving, data entry, shipping and more. As an extension of our retail sales floor, you’ll be providing a level of customer service to support both our staff and patrons. Support Specialists report directly to the department’s management team and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. This behind-the-scenes support role works in a retail warehouse environment and requires candidates to be able to lift 50lbs+ on a regular basis. Data entry skills and confidentiality are a must. 
This is a part-time year-round position requiring a schedule of Mondays 10am-6pm, Wednesdays 9am-5pm, Thursdays 10am-6pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm.
