The Shaman® is one of Spyderco’s® most capable and reliable folding knives. Now it is also a proud member of their Salt® Series of cutting tools purpose designed for use in and around the water.

The heart of the Shaman Salt is its broad, full-flat-ground blade, which is crafted from CPM® MagnaCut® - a remarkable particle metallurgy steel that challenges conventional steelmaking wisdom to deliver an impressive synergy of toughness, edge retention, and superior corrosion-resistance. Optimized for tactical applications, the blade is cloaked in a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating to reduce its reflective signature. It's paired with a handle constructed with nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners and contoured black G-10 scales. The liners form the foundation of the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism, while the scales are meticulously machined with Spyderco's signature Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern. To complement the DLC-coated blade, this Shaman Salt’s liners, four-position pocket clip, and all other hardware are also made from ultra-corrosion-resistant materials and have low-profile black coatings.
