We all know UV Florescence (UVF) which is so common on everything from street signs to bass lures. UV Reflectence (UVR) is a spectrum of wave lengths humans can not perceive yet but is extremely common in the animal and insect world. UVR allows mayflies to find mates, and bees to find flowers. Many male birds and bugs have a strong natural UVR signature.
It's best to use a pearl or silver Mylar under the base of this dubbing - or even basic white thread - which will bounce any light back out of the pattern at a different wave length.
