The invisibility of fluorocarbon makes this rig ideal for fishing live or dead suckers, shiners and other baitfish in clear-water conditions for fussy walleyes, trout, pike and perch. Hooking bait below the dorsal fin, so bait hangs horizontally, is typically best, but don’t be afraid to experiment. Allow fish to run, then stop, before setting hook.
