Description
When thinking heritage, it’s hard to overlook the rich history and fly-fishing traditions that come from the western mountains here in Maine. The Magalloway River and Rangeley region were the perfect inspiration for this one. Thinking back to the early years, when cork wasn’t accessible, rod smiths used wood. Following some exploration on their lathe using local wood, the folks at Maine Guide Co.® didn’t know they were on the cusp of a resurgence that would bring wood grips back with a vengeance.
Bucking the norms of modern-day mass production, this one came together with ease, giving it a vintage rustic appearance authentic to the region. Its reliability in both action and performance is undeniable. The Magalloway screams heritage and is a tribute to rod smiths and simpler times through a classic design.
