Fiebing's Saddle Soap Paste

Fiebing's® Saddle Soap Paste is used all over the world on fine saddlery, boots, shoes and other smooth leather articles. Cleans leather and lubricates the fibers to prevent brittleness, all the while maintaining suppleness and strength.

Here’s a general guide on how to use it effectively:

• Prepare the Leather: Start by brushing off any loose dirt or debris from the surface of the leather using a soft-bristled brush. This helps prevent scratching the leather when you apply the saddle soap.
• Dampen Your Applicator: Moisten a clean sponge, soft bristle brush or cloth with water. You want it to be damp, but not dripping wet.
• Apply Saddle Soap: Rub the dampened applicator onto the surface of the Fiebing’s Saddle Soap to create a lather. Then, apply the lather to the leather in a circular motion, working in small sections at a time.
• Clean the Leather: Gently work the lather into the leather, focusing on areas with stains, dirt, or grime. Use a bit of pressure if necessary, but avoid scrubbing too vigorously, especially on delicate or unfinished leather.
• Wipe Off Excess: After cleaning a section, use a clean, damp cloth to wipe off any excess saddle soap residue. This helps remove dirt and soap from the leather’s pores.
• Repeat as Needed: Continue applying the saddle soap to the leather, working in small sections until you’ve cleaned the entire surface. If the leather is particularly dirty, you may need to repeat the process.
