Clif Bloks Energy Chews Bar

In 1990, the company's founder, Gary, lived in a garage with his dog, skis, climbing gear, bicycle, and two trumpets.  Then one day, while on a 175-mile bike ride with his buddy, the inspiration to create a new energy bar came to him. They'd been gnawing on some other energy bars, and despite his hunger, Gary couldn't take another bite. Suddenly he thought to himself, "I could make a better bar than this!"  

Two years later, after countless hours in his Mom's kitchen, the Clif Bar® became a reality. The mission to create a better-tasting energy bar was accomplished.

Today, Clif Bar and Company still wants to make things better. Their food, their company, and even their planet. You can believe they'll be working on it.
