Description
Perfect for practice and plinking, the single-action Model 1911-380 is a rung above other handguns. Out of the box, the 1911-380 Medallion is ready for accurate, functional shooting and easy carry. But it goes a step beyond with its great looks derived from its composite frame with machined aluminum subframe and blackened stainless steel slide with silver polished flats. Add to that finely finished, rosewood-colored grips that have been laser engraved with a waving flag and "250 Years of Freedom" to commemorate the birth of the United States. The steel three-dot combat sights, dovetailed into the slide, are a fine finishing touch.
The Browning 1911-380 combines two of John M. Browning's most lasting innovations - the Model 1911 and the 380 Auto cartridge - into a modern, lightweight pistol. Unlike most of the modern pocket pistols that chamber the snappy 380 ACP cartridge, the 1911-380 is slightly larger to better manage recoil for improved control that makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate. The magazine holds 8-rounds to keep the grip compact, yet long and wide enough to allow the shooting hand full purchase for added comfort.
