Kaspar Tanner laid the foundations of the company in 1862 with the establishment of his traditional ropeworks in Dintikon near Lenzburg, Switzerland.
Today, the Mammut® Sports Group AG is an innovative company which develops, manufactures and sells mountaineering, outdoor pursuits, and snow sports products. In addition to its central headquarters in Seon, Switzerland (since 1992), where around 230 people work, the Mammut group has branches and subsidiaries all over the world.
The Mammut Sports Group set itself the goal of focusing its long-term business activity on the principles of sustainability. This means that Mammut behaves in an environmentally and socially responsible manner both internally, towards its employees, trainees and athletes, and externally, towards its suppliers, partners and other target groups.
