Where do you look when you want a classic lever action with enough style to set it apart but not enough shine to risk spooking game? Easy. Henry's® steel-framed Wildlife Edition in one of America’s longest-lived hunting calibers, the 30-30.

This steel-framed model acknowledges a long history of hunting and the lever action’s well-earned place in it for over 150 years. Compared to the Brass Wildlife Editions, the more subdued blued steel version is lighter in weight for long days on foot through dense brush and high mountain terrain. Steel weighs less than Henry's hardened brass material, and the round barrel used also reduces weight for a trimmer hunting package that loses nothing in performance in the field. The rifle includes a side loading gate and removable inner tube magazine for convenient loading and safe, quick unloading.

The H009GWL in 30-30 features a straight-wristed fancy American walnut stock and a black rubber recoil pad. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount, while the 20" blued steel barrel comes equipped with a semi-buckhorn rear sight and brass bead front sight. Sling swivel studs and an in-hammer transfer bar make for convenient and safe carry with the hammer down on a loaded chamber, ready for cocking on a fast shot if you need one, with five rounds standing by in the magazine for follow-ups. There's a buck's portrait on the right side of the receiver and a leaping buck on the left side. The surrounding area is engraved with American leafy-vine scrollwork and a braided border with 24K gold relief selectively applied for contrast.
