Fishing Report July 14, 2025
Striped bass fishing remains hot. Hot enough that a lot of big lake regulars are taking time to head toward the coast in search of the 40-inch stripers that are reported regularly. Salmon and lake trout fishing is holding steady, with many guides reporting stronger and more steady bite patterns lately. They are reporting moving down a bit deeper and finding more fish. Smallmouth bass fishing has been hot, especially with live bait, but drop shot and Ned rigging are still a couple of kings.

Fishing Report July 7, 2025
With the hot weather and intense boat traffic over the past long weekend, reports have been hard to come by. Those fishing big lakes and the coast reported decent fishing, but slower due to increased boat traffic. We have heard several reports of thermoclines setting up in lakes, such as Sebago and Winnipesaukee. Mackerel seem to be more prevalent in most places. Haddock fishing is good on Jeffreys and Stellwagen. Flounder reports have screeched to a halt, but we started hearing of fluke report

Fishing Report June 30, 2025
Changing weather brings changing fishing conditions and feeding patterns. We heard of an uptick in striped bass activity for most areas, with a few reporting inconsistent bite activity. Boston Harbor, the Piscataqua River, and Saco Bay have all reported increased striper numbers. Plum Island still has plenty of fish, but the bite has been the most inconsistent there. Lakes are producing good numbers of lake trout and salmon, and bass are beginning to move to the edges of drop offs. Flounder rep

Fishing Report June 23, 2025
The heat has put a damper on the freshwater fish and the anglers. Saltwater fishing seems to be heating up with the temperature in most cases. Striper reports from Plum Island and Boston Harbor couldn’t get much better, with lots of fish, and some big ones, being caught. Inland lakes for salmon and trout have slowed with the spike in water temperature, but warmwater fish, such as crappie and bass, have been taking it in stride and feeding a lot.

Fishing Report June 16, 2025
The fishing is still heating up. Most are reporting cool water temps that are keeping some fish in spring-like stages and patterns. Others are complaining that cool water is keeping their favorite fish less active than they would like. Whether you want to fish inland freshwater, inshore saltwater, or offshore deep sea fishing, there seems to be no shortage of opportunities.
Maine:Greg Cutting at Jordans Store in Sebago reported a slightly slower week in the Sebago Lake region, but peo
