Back in 1970, Pete Shepley was relegated to spending his lunch hours while at Magnavox® designing archery-related equipment. Today, Pete heads the largest privately owned archery equipment manufacturing company in America and is able to devote all of his time to pursuing this passion!

After some experimentation in the early days, Pete designed the first PSE® compound bow and introduced it to archers at an Indiana tournament. Within a week he received orders for 200 of them and from there, business was booming. Starting out in a 700-square foot building in Illinois, the company soon moved to Tucson, AZ where it sits today — 400+ people strong with 120,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space.

As one of the first companies to machine bow risers and accessories from solid aluminum, PSE has been leading the way for archers to enjoy the sport for years. From compound bows to recurve bows to Carbon Force™ Radial X Weave™ arrows, PSE seems poised to continue in that role.
