A giant chestnut tree, shading the small Boker® tool factory in Remscheid in the 17th century, is the oldest traceable symbol connected with the Boker name. Boker tools were very successful, since they were still among the leading products in Germany and neighboring countries 100 years later.

The famous Boker knives with the tree-brand have been manufactured in Solingen, the German blade-city, since 1869. Since then, no knife has left production without the sign of quality.
