Meet the environmentally conscious and high-performing next generation of waterproofing for the next generation of off-the-beaten path adventurers: the lightweight Kids' PreCip Eco Pant. The waterproof/breathable, PFC-free Marmot NanoPro™ recycled nylon face fabric lasts longer, thanks to the advanced technology of our microporous coating. Sturdier and more durable and with a patented dry-touch finish, these water-repelling pants will keep kids comfortable and protected during planned treks on weekend adventures and as a just-in-case layer in their backpack for unexpected downpours on the way home from school. These water-repelling pants also feature fully taped seams to prevent leaks, ankle snaps with tabs to make it easy to pull rain boots on and off, and bonded storm flaps over the zippers to keep moisture out. Zippered hand pockets and a zippered back pocket provide quick storage while the elastic waist ensures a secure yet comfortable fit.

Started in the 1970s by two college students, the Marmot "club" involved climbing glaciated peaks with other "Marmots."  During the next two years, the two young men began experimenting with down products - a sweater, a parka, and three down sleeping bags. Then, in 1973 the two, along with a friend, purchased a retail location in Colorado and dubbed it Marmot Mountain Works.

By 1974 the company now known as Marmot® was born. As fate would have it, an acquaintance asked them to make 108 puffy jackets for a new Clint Eastwood movie - definitively putting them on the map. Soon introduced to Gore-Tex® fabric via another acquaintance the two began designing and manufacturing products with this new innovative technology.

The late 70s saw a company that was experiencing consistent growth by delivering a high-quality performance product. Today's Marmot has a tireless commitment to building the finest outdoor clothing and equipment available.
