Stand Up Paddle Surfing is a traditional style of paddling derived from Polynesian roots. It allows the surfer to catch waves further out which might otherwise be nearly impossible to catch by hand paddling. Stand up paddling also allows you to see deeper into, and a longer distance over, the water.

The Sawyer® Flex Tour has a great feel for touring and is strong enough for surf and whitewater river running. This wood SUP paddle has a very forgiving feel compared to stiff carbon fiber shafts and blades, relieving stress on wrists and shoulders. It also has a nice spring and energy with each stroke.
