Penn Rampage Saltwater Boat Casting Rod

$59.99 - $69.99
The Rampage™ rod is designed to be a work horse for charter boats or anglers that need durability in a variety of fishing situations. Constructed with tubular glass blank for extra strength, the Rampage also features a solid glass tip that helps keep the rod tip from breaking even when high sticked.

A heavy duty Pac Bay® reel seat ensures a secure lock on the reel foot, eliminating flex while under heavy load. Each rod features guides built with heavy duty stainless steel frames and aluminum oxide inserts that are perfect for both mono and braided lines.

The soft yet durable rubber gimbal is used on select models providing the same function as a traditional metal gimbal without the worries of scratching or cracking the gel coat on your boat. Rubber gimbals also help ease the pain that traditional metal gimbals can put on your body while fighting a fish.

EVA Torque™ grips are contoured to fit your hand perfectly and eliminate the rod from twisting while under heavy load.
  • One-piece tubular glass blank with solid tip
  • STT, Solid Tip Technology, virtually eliminates breakage
  • Stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts
  • Triangular shaped EVA grips
  • Torque foregrip keeps rod from rotating when under pressure
  • Soft, yet durable, rubber gimbal, on select models

In 1922, Otto Henze left Germany at age 25 and emigrated to the United States, starting Penn Fishing Tackle Manufacturing Company® in Philadelphia soon thereafter. In 1932, he designed the Mod F and the Mod K reels and began selling them to the general public in 1933.

The company's growth in the early thirties was dramatic, especially considering that America was at the height of the depression. Tough times proved to be an advantage for the start-up company, since many people fished for their food. Penn's affordable reels were just what men needed to put food on the table, day after day. In 1936, Penn introduced its most famous reel to this day, the "Senator."

Throughout the early years, Penn reels were used by such well-known and prestigious fisherman as Zane Gray and Ernest Hemingway and have been used in years since to set numerous world records.

The company's commitment to quality products designed for the world's most favorite pastime is evident in today's product range, encompassing salt and freshwater rods and reels, line, and fishing accessories.

Penn — the biggest name in fishing!
