The idea for Overland Equipment� started in Chico, California - a tucked-away town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, where getting outside is a way of life.

From finding the right thread, to hand cutting each pattern, to taking the time to stitch each bag so it lasts, Overland is committed to creating the best product possible. They started in 1981 with one sewing machine, a shiny pair of red scissors (now well used), and unmatched creativity. 30 years later their bags are still - and always will be - made with the same thoughtfulness, simplicity, and natural ruggedness of their Chico roots.
